The Blockchain Innovation Challenge, powered by Stellar, invites students to build social impact solutions on Stellar, a fast, near-zero-cost blockchain, to expand access to everyday financial services like payments, savings, credit, and insurance for the roughly 1.3 billion adults who remain unbanked. Each problem space names a customer and a problem, so teams should consider distribution, policy, and design as well as software. The strongest solutions will make serving underserved users structurally cheaper, so the economics work without subsidies.

Requirements
A trifold board visual representation of team’s solution. Trifold boards are available through the Velocity events team, email [email protected] if your team has not yet received one.
A three minute verbal presentation delivered by one member of the team detailing the solution they have built. The presentation is required to include a one-minute demo video that demonstrates the functioning prototype. Slide-only videos do not meet this requirement. The demo video should be hosted at a publicly accessible link (e.g., YouTube or Loom) and uploaded to the Blockchain Innovation Challenge Devpost (Devpost link opens on November 6th at 12:00 PM ET).
Public GitHub Repository: Teams must submit a link to a publicly accessible GitHub repository containing the complete project source code and a README that describes the project and provides setup and run instructions. Github repository to be uploaded to the Blockchain Innovation Challenge Devpost (Devpost link opens on November 6th at 12:00 PM ET).
Prototype (Live on Testnet): Teams must deploy a functional prototype on Stellar Testnet and provide the deployed contract ID(s) and/or a live application URL so judges can verify and interact with it. Prototype link to be uploaded to the Blockchain Innovation Challenge Devpost (Devpost link opens on November 6th at 12:00 PM ET).
